Arik Levy was born in Tel-Aviv, Israel, and as a young man ran a small surfboard shop at the beach near his home. Arik left Israel for Europe, where today he owns the company Ldesign in Paris with his friend Pippo Lionni. They develop projects in industrial, interior, graphic and stage design for European and international markets. Levy’s work brings the science of materials and the poetry of ideas together to create original work that impresses and delights.
Several of Levy’s designs can be found in the permanent collections of major museums and institutions, including the Centre Georges Pompidou, the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
